Using the ancient art of handcrafted glass (琉璃) as our paper and molten, high-temperature material as our ink, we blow, sculpt, and carve this elegant pink butterfly alighting upon an osmanthus branch. Its wings are delicate and translucent, their textures lifelike, as if it might take flight in the next second, carrying with it the osmanthus’s clear fragrance and the incense burner’s gentle smoke.

Upon the body of the burner, the silhouettes of the twelve lunar flowers are meticulously carved, an abstract homage to the “Twelve Blossom Deities.” This is more than an incense burner; it is a miniature, burnable garden of time.
